Orbit

Stars live long before twilight
waiting eagerly to be noticed beside
the sun. Warming the world all the same.
And still they cry. Tears of stardust will fall.
So many meteors these days on
collision course. Why do they have
to cry? Why be sad at all
when they get to be beside
the sun? The humans will never know.
Still they wonder what their
reason is. Is it because they’re going
to explode one day? Or is it because
they don’t get to see the whole universe
before they go? Because how can
you only get a taste of the galaxy
without wanting to wander it all?
Knowing that when the supernova’s here
it will only be a flash. Then void.
